About Bounce

Bounce is the Chaos Cubed music disc by fingerspit (Paula Ruiz), added alongside sulfur caves, sulfur cubes, and the rest of the 26.2 soundtrack. Its mineshaft-in-sulfur-caves loot source makes it a biome-and-structure hunt rather than a creeper drop, and its comparator output of 8 puts it on the same redstone strength as Stal.

How to get Bounce in survival

Found in minecarts with chests inside abandoned mineshafts within the Sulfur Caves biome.

Once you have the disc, place it in a jukebox to play it. A redstone comparator reading the jukebox outputs a signal strength of 8 while Bounce is playing, which redstone builders use to detect exactly which disc is in the box.

Replacing Bounce with your own music

Select Minecraft 26.2 or later in the generator for the Bounce slot. Because Bounce is tied to sulfur caves and the Chaos Cubed drop, it is a strong slot for upbeat, cave-themed, or server-event custom music disc replacements. For Bedrock packs, target Bedrock 26.30 or newer before using this slot.

  1. Open the MineVinyl generator and select Java Edition 26.2 or later.
  2. Upload your audio to the Bounce slot. MineVinyl converts it to the mono OGG Vorbis format Minecraft expects — here's why mono matters.
  3. Download the zip and install it like any resource pack. Play Bounce in a jukebox to hear your track.

Only the audio changes — the disc item, its name, texture and loot sources all stay vanilla, and every disc you don't assign keeps its original sound.
