MineVinyl is operated by fordz0 (“we”, “us”, “our”). The website is accessible at minevinyl.com. For privacy-related enquiries, contact us at [email protected].

Audio files: Files you upload for conversion are processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. They are never transmitted to our servers and are discarded from memory when you close or refresh the page.

Analytics: With your consent, we use Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymised performance metrics such as page load timing and web vitals. No personally identifiable information is included in these analytics. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Advertising: MineVinyl is not currently serving ads. We intend to display advertisements served by Google AdSense in the future; when ads are enabled, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to personalise ads based on your browsing history where permitted by your consent and applicable law. See Google's Privacy Policy and ad personalisation settings.

Consent storage: We store a single first-party localStorage value (mv_cookie_consent) to remember your analytics and advertising preference. No first-party cookies are set for this preference. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies in the future if ads are enabled and you have consented where required.

Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) may retain standard web server logs (IP address, request timestamp, HTTP method, path, response code) for security and debugging purposes. This is separate from Vercel Speed Insights analytics. We do not access these logs in the normal course of operations.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests — for anonymised analytics that help us improve the tool.
• Consent — for advertising cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or by emailing us.
• Legitimate interests — for security and debugging logs retained by our hosting provider.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate personal data
• Erasure of your personal data (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Restriction of processing
• Data portability
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK this is the ICO.

We do not retain your uploaded audio files at all — they never leave your device. Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it or withdraw consent. Vercel server-log retention is controlled by Vercel and used for security and debugging purposes.

The following third-party services may process data on your behalf:

• Vercel — hosting, security/debugging server logs, and Vercel Speed Insights performance analytics
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN/edge routing that may process visitor IP addresses and request metadata, and email routing for inbound messages to [email protected]
• Google AdSense — future advertising if ads are enabled and you have given any required consent

MineVinyl is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
