Custom music discs on Minecraft Bedrock
MineVinyl turns your audio into a ready-to-open .mcpack that swaps Minecraft's music discs for your own tracks. Everything runs in the browser: pick disc slots, drop in audio, download, open. No mods, no uploads, no cost.
How it works on Bedrock
Bedrock resource packs replace disc audio through a sound_definitions.json file that points each disc's sound event at a new audio file. The generator builds that file, converts your audio to the OGG format the game expects, writes the pack manifest with fresh UUIDs, and names your discs in the pause menu and hotbar via a language file. The result downloads as a single .mcpack.
Opening the file imports it into Minecraft automatically: double-click on Windows, or share/open it with Minecraft on iOS and Android. Then activate it on your world under Resource Packs.
Three steps
- Open the generator with the Bedrock (.mcpack) format selected.
- Drop an audio file onto each disc slot you want to replace — MP3, WAV, FLAC and most other formats convert automatically. Optionally give each disc a custom display name.
- Generate, download the
.mcpack, and open it with Minecraft.
Bedrock vs Java, honestly
Replacing disc audio works just as well on Bedrock as on Java. The difference is adding new discs: Java supports brand-new discs with their own icons via a datapack (our Custom discs mode), and Bedrock has no equivalent — you choose which of the vanilla discs to replace instead. Bedrock questions
Can I add brand-new music discs on Bedrock?
No. Bedrock has no equivalent of the Java jukebox_song datapack, so packs can only replace the audio of existing discs. The generator's Custom discs mode (brand-new discs with their own names and icons) is Java-only.
Does it work on consoles?
No. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch can only use packs from the Marketplace, so there is no way to import a local .mcpack. It works on Windows, iOS and Android.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion runs in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm and the finished .mcpack is assembled locally. Your files never leave your device.
Why are some discs missing on my version?
The three newest slots arrived late on Bedrock: Tears needs 1.21.90+, Lava Chicken 1.21.93+ and Bounce 26.30+. Every other disc works on any recent Bedrock release.
